Fybe proposes a fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) deployment project in Halifax County to serve unserved and underserved locations identified through North Carolina’s BEAD-eligible broadband serviceable location dataset. The project includes approximately 8.25 miles of aerial and 8.25 miles of underground fiber construction. The total project cost is $130,000, with Fybe contributing $45,500, or 35% in matching funds and requesting $84,500 in BEAD support. The network will deliver symmetrical gigabit service to eligible locations and community anchor institutions, enabling long-term scalability and digital equity for residents and businesses in the county.
